If the missing persons are involved in terrorism or any other crime, file cases and present them in the courts and let decisions be made according to the law, Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani of Islamabad High Court said on February 13 of the hearing of the case of recovery of missing Baloch students have issued a written order stating that Attorney General Mansoor Awan had assured the court on January 10 on behalf of the federal government that there would be no abductions or enforced disappearances and that all missing persons would be recovered. This aspect makes the Prime Minister, the Minister of Interior and Defense and both secretaries guilty of misconduct. The state institutions do not have any explanation for their conduct, but they are completely silent on this issue. The court is very clear about this issue. There may be situations, one where state institutions are either responsible for the criminal acts of abductions and enforced disappearances or else they (state institutions) are completely unable to recover the alleged missing persons. According to the written order, the officers of the Ministry of Interior and Defense did not inform the court about the conduct or subversive activities of the missing Baloch students even in the sealed envelope. Therefore, the caretaker prime minister, the ministers and secretaries of the federal ministry of interior and defense should appear in the court today and clarify their position.
