There is no doubt that people
belonging to a certain ideology have participated in terrorism. This is the
situation even now that the official religious schools of Punjab, which are
established under the auspices of the Awqaf Department. International body FATF
is suspicious about them. The government had canceled the registration of
endowment madrasas at the request of Fataf so that every madrassa could be
brought under this purview through re-registration. FATF is monitoring all
these Madrasahs of Awqaf Department and this is not a secret monitoring, the
forms for new registrations distributed by Awqaf Department in different parts
of the country clearly mention the guidelines of FATF. . According to the
latest reports, Fataf has also provided evidence related to some madrasas of
Awqaf.
In the press conference, DG ISPR
has mentioned unregistered madrasas and the history of terrorism has witnessed
how anti-national elements continue to take advantage of some unregistered
madrasas and provide safe havens to terrorists under the guise of religion.
stay This is a harsh reality and we have to accept it. At this time we all have
to understand the threat of terrorism in the country. The manner in which the
Ittehad Organization Madrasas Pakistan has expressed its concerns through the
press release, in my opinion, the scholars have tried to give a religious color
to a ground reality without understanding the context. Scholars should
understand that Pakistan is an Islamic country. Muslims live here. He is a
Muslim, whether he is a state official or an official, a common citizen or
belongs to the Khawas. All of them are Muslims as much as religious people. All
of them love Islam as much as the religious community. Then the
responsibilities of the state also include that if someone tries to defame Islam
and Pakistan under the guise of Islam, then the state should take action
against him. He should be held accountable and this is what DG ISPR mentioned
in his press conference.
Many friends may not like me
saying why I am associating madrasas with terrorism, but the fact is that even
at this time the Sindh government regularly monitors the teachers of all
madrasas. This work has started since a report presented in the meeting of the
apex committee consisting of civil and military leadership under the
chairmanship of Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah revealed that one person
who was killed in the attack on the Karachi police headquarters. 'The terrorist
was a teacher in a religious seminary who was killed along with his fellow
students.
To prevent terrorism in Khyber
Pakhtunkhwa, an Apex Committee meeting was held under the chairmanship of Ali
Amin Gandapur, in which it was informed that only three thousand five hundred
and seventy one madrassas have been registered so far and continuous work is
going on. According to a report, 330,000 students are studying in madrasas of
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including 4500 foreign students. The number of teachers is
around 16000, of which 280 are foreign teachers. Out of 241 madrasas in Bannu
district, 66 madrasas are unregistered. According to the latest information,
Anti-corruption has called for records from the Awqaf Department on the
allegations of large-scale corruption in the fund of madrasas and mosques of
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Two officers of seventeen grade have become sworn
witnesses. Provincial Minister of Awqaf has also confirmed and said that
inquiry is going on against the alleged corrupt employees. Anti-corruption in
other provinces should also pay attention to endowment issues. In the past, about
two hundred madrassas were closed in Pakistan due to this extremism. I think
many Madrasahs will have to be closed again.
