Love never knows boundaries of language and expression, but poets solve this issue while finding words to describe the shades of unending love. In various cultures and centuries, love has been a universal truth shown by literature and it has also been a very personal experience. Very few contemporary voices in the literary scene of Pakistan represent this eternal quest of such a depth as Rakhshanda Naveed. Her poetry is not a description of feelings but a kind of living world, in which feelings, a memory with imagination are manifested in an incredibly beautiful whole.
As long as the beating heart within the being continues to dance to the rhythm of emotion, new definitions and explanations of love will continue to emerge.
Their diversity and strange colors will remain because the heart, intoxicated and absorbed in the state of love, is unable to give any statement or analyze itself. To the extent that the viewer can perceive the state of the heart from the external state, the same reality is revealed to them, just as my heart, following Rumi, believes in the rule of love over the universe, while Rakhshanda Naveed considers it the eighth wonder. The launch ceremony of Rakhshanda Naveed’s six poetry collections, ‘Deepak’, held recently in the presidency of Yasmin Hameed and Aitzaz Ahsan, was declared the most successful event in the city. All the big and reputable faces of science and literature were present on the stage and in the hall with a sense of perfection and acceptance.
The speakers described the virtues of Rakhshanda’s poetry and personality traits with complete truth. I have been reading, listening and watching Rakhshanda Naveed for many years. I have always been surprised by the charm hidden in her personality.
She speaks little, as if she is always busy with questions and answers from within or addressing herself. If you see the secrets of the self clearly in her words, it is clear that it was not possible to confine her twisted thoughts, blue imagination and fluttering feelings in traditional seas and rhymes. Her poetic universe is dominated by her own colors that emanate from her existence, which have elevated her to the pedestal of a unique style. Poetry filled with the fragrance of new flavors has given her a unique identity in the crowd of her contemporaries. Her personality has a strange boldness, a dignity full of ego and such feminine elegance that makes her feel her presence without effort. Rakhshanda is one of those people whom nature has bestowed the talent of being engrossed in her own self and the universe.
Sometimes she feels life by going deep into the ocean of time, and sometimes she tries to discover herself by locking herself in a cave of silence.
Before her eyes, time has handed over many spring islands to autumn, trampled many dreams and devastated faces, but her soul has never allowed disappointment and exhaustion to come close to existence. Every time, she has taken her feelings out of the hopeless shadow of time and molded them into words with new energy. Rakhshanda Navid is a polite, dignified and civilized poet who expresses feminine feelings and emotions. In her poetry, the existence of a woman does not come across as a mere oppressed or protesting figure, but rather emerges as a complete, sensitive, energetic and full of life entity. Rakhshanda understands the fact that this universe is beautiful because of this sacred relationship of love established between a woman and a man. While creating her precious feelings, she reflects the feelings of these monopolized minds.
They do not care about those who are full of doubting the beautiful concept and making life a burden by sprinkling the poison of sin, regret, and prejudice on the spontaneous passion of love.
In the spontaneous expression of her feelings and emotions, her tone does not turn into a scream, nor is she prone to bitterness and anger. She knows the art of keeping words dressed in a robe of modesty even in the expression of intense emotions. This modesty and civilization make her distinguished from other female voices. Her poetry also has feminine ego, dignity, and the foundation of feminine experience. Instead of protest, she reaches the heart of the reader with understanding and high harmony, with gentleness and depth. Before scattering the tender words on paper, she carved them with love for a long time in the furnace of the heart and mind and refined them in the light of thought.
She also embellished the words created from the heart and the princesses born from the womb, she kept them in the fence of consciousness, love, trust and self with the shadows of affection and taught them the art of living.
It is as if a manifestation of a fateful destiny is hidden in her name itself. Navidas’s existence is not just an identity, it is a message, of good news, of hope, of being together in all circumstances and of continuing to walk on a bright path. Her eternal destiny is reflected in her name. Making Navid’s company an umbrella of pride, happiness and a sense of security, she is constantly moving forward, smiling, fearless and victorious. Her words, her character and her affection, all together sing a song of life that has beauty, glory and the deep fragrance of consciousness.
We are recalled here of the fact that it is not just rhyme and rhythm of poetry that counts but it is courage and the ability to make the internal self shine out gracefully in front of us with dignity. Her song confirms that in the era of distractions we all live through, poetry can still put us back on track to something that remains immortal love, hope, and the strength of the human spirit. To both readers and listeners, what she writes is not only an artistic experience but a kind of reminder that beauty is still with us in the language of the heart. I saw the waves and went hand in hand, love is also the eighth wonder, now the number seven is no longer.
