Pakistan Army's Position on Bational Affairs | Prime Minister's offer to India |

Director General Inter-Services Public Relations Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry in his press conference on Monday on the occasion of Kashmir Expropriation Day while answering the questions of the journalists as the spokesperson of the armed forces said that the annexation of Occupied Kashmir to India is illegal, illegal. Apart from the moral and oppressive measures, the position clearly presented on the various challenges faced by Pakistan and other national issues is a reflection of the positive and unwavering thinking of the soldiers of Pakistan and their leadership. He reiterated his commitment that the Pakistan Army stands and will continue to stand with the Kashmiri people in their struggle for self-determination. In doing so, he expressed the true feelings of the entire nation.

He also clarified the thinking of the army regarding the events of May 9 and bluntly said that the position of the army in this regard has not changed nor will it change. Strict action will be taken against those creating rifts in the army and public and the planners will have to apologise. He also said that the campaign is being conducted from abroad. It is known who is running this campaign and who is its facilitator. Those who are investing in it will demand some price for it and this price is chaos in the country. Those with political ambitions want chaos in the country. The armed forces and the public do not recognize them. They are standing in front of them and will continue to stand. He said that the Pakistan Army actively participates in the social and economic projects of the people including health, education, welfare and economic independence, but the mafia is worried that why the army thinks of the country's development.

He made it clear that the Pakistan Army is not operating according to any political thought, angle, group, party, religion or creed. She works for the benefit of the people and will continue to do so. Most of the world's militaries support their government and people in economic and social projects. It is criticized in our country because the mafia does not want the people to develop. The country is currently facing economic security challenges. When the government assigns a task to the army, it does not hesitate. Regarding Balochistan, he said that there is a lack of facilities in the areas bordering Iran and the people there are dependent on border trade. In this case, sealing the border is not a solution to stop the smuggling of oil and other goods. This will give the mafia an opportunity to spread rumors against the army.

The military spokesman described the Baloch Solidarity Committee as a proxy of terrorists and criminal mafia. There are many positive aspects to what the spokesperson of the Pakistan Army has said without being overshadowed by the questions raised by some quarters and the confusion it creates. He said that questions are raised about the army, but the army is not elite. Why does no one question the elite whose job is to provide education, health and employment.

Everyone is aware of the fact that the armed forces not only defend the borders, but also help the nation in every difficulty, including natural calamities. The sacrifices of the army against terrorists are not hidden from anyone. Its role in the country's economy is also clear. At a time when tax evasion is rampant, the army and its sponsored agencies deposited a total of Rs 360 billion in taxes and duties to the national exchequer in the last two years. The cooperation of the army, the people and the government to combat the crises that the country is currently facingIt is necessary. These three are the basic pillars on which the lofty edifice of the state system stands.

 Prime Minister's offer to India

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif's offer to India to discuss the Kashmir issue is a big mistake. Take the path of peace. Disputes should be resolved together and Kashmiris should be given their right to self-determination. There is no other way and this is the requirement of wisdom. India should keep in mind that it will never be able to make Occupied Kashmir its part. For the past several decades, India has not been ready to negotiate with Pakistan for a fair settlement of the Kashmir dispute. Instead, they tried every tactic to oppress Kashmiris, flouting basic human rights and UN resolutions. Abolishing Article 370 and Article 35A is a link in this chain.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif addressed a special session of the Azad Kashmir Legislative Assembly on the occasion of Kashmir Exploitation Day via video link. He termed the resettlement of non-state persons in Occupied Kashmir and their illegitimate right to buy property as cruel and said that Pakistan will keep knocking on the doors of international forums for the right of self-determination of Kashmiris. Yesterday, Kashmiris across the world, including Pakistan, celebrated Black Day against India's abrogation of the constitutional status of Occupied Kashmir. The Prime Minister gave a blunt message to India that it will have to come to its senses. Pakistan is a nuclear power and let's not get it wrong. They will destroy the eye that rises towards them. Indian rulers cannot unilaterally decide the fate of Kashmiris with their pen or take away their rights.

The conspiracy to change the ratio of population in the occupied valley is most alarming. In Occupied Kashmir, 3.2 million illegal voters have been registered and the state's residents have been illegally deprived of 2 million acres of land. Separate colonies are being built on the pattern of Israel for five lakh Kashmiri Pandits, which is the limit of cruelty.

FBR Reforms?

The decision of the federal government to form a task force for comprehensive digitization of FBR is a reflection of its determination to bring the tax system towards transparency and also to bring into the tax network those who are lagging behind and the individuals who are fully or partially paying the taxes. are reluctant to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif approved the establishment of a ten-member task force, its chairman will be Minister of State for Finance Pervez Malik, while Major General Syed Ali Raza will be the co-chairman. The members of the task force include businessmen and information technology experts. Its scope can be explained in simple words to coordinate data with provinces, revenue agencies, ministries and government departments. To widen the tax base, National Identity Card should be audited by making it the only primary identity and supply chain details including wholesale dealers, distributors and middlemen should be automated. Some time ago, the statement of the Prime Minister came out that he will resign but will not accept any pressure in the matter of reforms in FBR.

This task force is part of the aforementioned reform process. The difficulties that the country's economy is currently facing, demand that the performance of revenue collection agencies should be improved and made transparent. In this chapter, although FBR has been successful in achieving the desired target, the current 9% tax rate has to be increased to 13.5% in three years by 1.5% per annum under the IMF conditions. To achieve this goal, the government not only has to take all-round measures, but also to implement them quickly. It should be expected that as a result of the government's actions, the desired revenue targets can be met and it will be possible to stabilize the country's economy.
