A grand
national convention of scholars and sheikhs belonging to different schools of
thought was held in Islamabad on Thursday. To create awareness in the society
for the elimination of hatred and extremism and for this the Ulamas and
Mashaikhs to fulfill their responsibilities and to continue the universal
messages passed down by the predecessors, is a special feature of this
conference. Army Chief General Syed Asim. In his address, Munir urged the
scholars to bring back moderation in the society and reject the corruption in
the land. He said, quoting that we have hosted millions of Afghans for more
than 40 years and we are explaining that Do not oppose your neighboring Islamic
country and long-time friend for the sake of external sedition.
The Army
Chief explained that efforts are being made to spread chaos in the society
through social media, but no power in the world can harm Pakistan, it is built
to last and this But even if millions of Asim Munir, politicians and scholars
are sacrificed, they are not more important than Pakistan. The sword raised for
children and estates and injustice, even the use of religion as a fitnah is a
fitnah. Another aspect of the Army Chief's address is the smuggling through the
country's borders and the facilitation of terrorists under the guise of this
illegal trade and the people involved in it. His comprehensive speech covers
all aspects of his position. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif emphasized in his
keynote speech that Pakistan can be given a great place in the United Nations
if they keep their backs even today in light of the speech of Army Chief
General Syed Asim Munir.
The Prime
Minister said that the government, institutions and the army Salar is like one
soul and two souls, the cooperation between the government and the
constitutional institutions has never been seen before. It is a torch for the
nation. The recent holding of the convention of scholars and elders has taken
place on this occasion, when the nation is preparing to celebrate the 77th
Independence Day of Pakistan, the main objective of which is to renew the
covenant and to enlighten the new generation with the ideology of Pakistan and
its education and Training is to be done. In the light of General Asim Munir's
address, whatever problems are arising in the society including terrorism or
its threats, separatist activities in Balochistan, lack of moderation and
negative use of social media.
There are
various reasons for this, from which it is necessary to purify the dear
country. In this regard, it has become an indispensable need of the hour for
the responsible parties to come forward and play their role. After taking steps
towards economic reforms, the Army Chief of Pakistan Army The deteriorating
external and internal situation which has been realized by the party, its links
are found through educational institutions, religious and social forums and
parents and teachers. In this regard, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chief
of Pakistan Army General Asim Munir's address to Ulama and Mashaikh. It was the
urgent need of the hour, on which other parts of the country should also come
forward, our values are full of moral, educational,
religious and universal rituals which need to be refreshed.
Well done Arshad Nadeem
Arshad
Nadeem, the national hero of Pakistan's javelin throw in the Paris Olympics,
has given such a proud gift to the nation on this year's Independence Day by
making a record performance, which should be used as a fall nook for other
fields as well. While Arshad Nadeem won the gold medal for Pakistan after 40
years, he also took the honor of throwing 92.97, the biggest throw in the
118-year history of the Olympics. . Thus, he became the first athlete to bring
gold medal to Pakistan in individual events. The previous record for the
longest throw in the Olympics was held by Andersen Thor Kludsen of Norway who
threw 90.57 meters in the 2008 Beijing Olympics. In the final of the event, 12
athletes lined up, including India's defending champion Neeraj Chopra. Neeraj
Chopra made it to the final by throwing 89.34 meters while Arshad Nadeem was
fourth with 85.59.
Overall,
this is Pakistan's 11th medal in the history of Olympics. India's Neeraj
Chopra, who won the gold medal in the last Olympics, was adjudged the silver
medalist this time with a throw of 89.45m while Grenada's Andres bagged the
bronze medal with a throw of 88.54m. The messages of the President of the
State, the Prime Minister and the Army Chief including all the notable
personalities on Arshad's brilliant success in the Paris Olympics are making it
clear that this victory is the victory of the entire nation. It is a prayer
that the spirit of better performance will be prominent in every field of
national life. The milestones of success will continue to rise and Pakistan
will continue to move towards the front lines of development and prosperity in
the international community.
Local bodies are the main component of any country's
democratic system and the nursery for the growth of democracy, but in Pakistan
they are given little attention. The reason for this is the distribution of
development funds of the local government representatives among the members of
the national and provincial assemblies. That's why the local body elections are
conducted rarely and the constitutional requirements are not followed. The last
elections of the Metropolitan Corporation of the federal capital Islamabad were
held in 2015, which expired on February 15, 2021. During this time, the PML-N
and PTI governments remained in power in the federation, who neither took
interest in providing funds to the corporation nor held its elections.
The Election Commission of Pakistan has released the schedule
for holding corporation elections on September 29, breaking this long period of
cold weather. Deputy Commissioner Islamabad has been appointed as District
Returning Officer and returning officers have also been announced to monitor
the elections. The number of union councils of the Metropolitan Corporation has
been increased to 125. Nomination papers will be received from August 16 to 20
and the papers will be withdrawn on September 5 after the legal process is
completed. Along with the announcement of the election schedule, announcement
of new schemes and transfer of government officials has been banned in
Islamabad. About one million voters will exercise their right to vote in the
municipal elections of the federal capital. Last time, due to non-availability
of funds and other reasons, the corporation remained suspended and could not do
any work for the public. Hopefully that won't happen this time.
