Young, valuable capital! | A Tragic Bus Accident | By IA Hashmi

Addressing the National Youth Convention held in Islamabad on Wednesday, Prime Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif and Army Chief General Asim Munir said that the youth are the most valuable capital of Pakistan. It will not be allowed. These young people are the source and key to the development of the country, they will be provided with all the resources while the responsibility of the state is to keep the people away from the implications of mischief and temptation created by social media. The majority of the population in Pakistan consists of people under the age of 40 and a nation that has a large number of working people among its population of 24 crores has great development goals in a short period of time. This is not a difficult task to achieve, provided the workforce is equipped with education and skills. If the youth are equipped with education and skills, it helps to implement and advance various projects including industries and businesses in the country, while an additional source of foreign exchange is available by taking advantage of employment opportunities abroad. In a country where youth majority is a sign of happiness, it is also a challenge.

If there is neglect in providing knowledge and skills and proper guidance to the youth, instead of becoming a valuable asset of the country and nation, these youth become a crowd whose needs are met. Recent events in Bangladesh have made it clear that addressing economic anxiety in countries with a majority of youth is critical. Regarding the 2017 census of Pakistan, economists say that 64 percent of the country's population is under 30 years of age and the unemployment rate is 6.3 percent, from which two things are clear. Firstly, Pakistan is among the top countries in terms of population. Secondly, to keep this manpower under control, around one million jobs should be created annually. The situation has become more noticeable due to the setbacks that Pakistan's economy has suffered in the last few years. The examples of many countries of the world are in front of us, which by investing in education, skills, technology, have taken out the possibilities of improving their economic conditions and achieved impressive results.

When Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif says that he will provide all the resources for the development of the youth, education, technology, skills and training come first, while many measures including the provision of employment opportunities for small and medium entrepreneurs are also indispensable. . The statement is certainly encouraging that the State Bank will give 40% loans to youth for business, but it should not be ignored that due to the high cost of education, it has become more difficult for youth from families with less resources to advance. Provision of education is also of primary importance for these young children who have to grow up and join the ranks of the youth after a few years. It should not be neglected that from the time of establishment of Pakistan, the main weapon of the wandering country to harm this country and make it a target of terrorism has been to highlight the sense of deprivation, for which many more effective weapons including social media are now available. . The government of Pakistan will not only speed up the country's development journey by providing education and skill facilities to its children and youth, but will also be able to effectively break digital terrorism.
