Introduction:
The world today is not listening to the Palestine outcries. Hunger and thirst are among the oppressions that the helpless Palestinian citizens, who are fighting just to have their land and survive, face. They are losing their lands by force, history is being erased, genocide goes on in full view. But human rights institutions and powerful countries, the conscience of the world, continue to have a silent spectacle in the name of this suffering.
The Story of Oppression:
The Palestinian people are fighting day by day. Children starve, women weep over the sight of their homes being destroyed and the old are ready to sacrifice their lives just to save their land. Not only has Israel occupied their lands but has also attempted to obliterate Palestinian society, culture and history. It is not just the statistic about this genocide, but fear and pain in the eyes of any living Palestinian.
The moribund condition of the world conscience:
It is only the international human rights organizations and NATO powers, who boast to be the agents of justice, which stay silent as the atrocities against the Palestinians persist. The statements, resolutions and promises are purely on paper; nobody wants to see any practical actions taken which makes Israel more confident. This deafening silence all over the world is the dying of human conscience, death that is indifference and ignorance in the presence of oppression.
The tragedy of the Muslim Ummah:
The larger majority of the Muslim Ummah have failed in practice to defend the Palestinian people. The Ummah has been gagged by political differences, anarchy within the country and pressure internationally. It is the silence of a painful suicide that follows years of patience and sacrifice. Blood on the land of Palestine is, by no means, the blood of Palestinians: it is the question mark on the awakening and the moral might of Muslim Ummah.
Call and Need:
It is time that the international community and destination Muslim countries realize that they have responsibilities. An independent state and a sovereign land of Palestine, the illegal occupation of Palestine by Israel, and the fundamental rights of Palestine people need to be fulfilled. Not merely a political necessity, but a wake-up call to human conscience, a moral obligation of Muslim Ummah and a call to demand justice in the world. All those human beings who fail to defend justice and humanity write their name on a black page of history.
Conclusion:
Palestine means more than just the name of a place or a boundary but it is the embodiment of oppression and sacrifice and human courage. The conscience of the world should spring into action before its time is up. When the Muslim Ummah is alive, the Ummah must practically be on Palestine’s side. This is no time to speak, say, but to act, sacrifice and fight on behalf of the human race.
