Concubines

Is there any justification for keeping concubines in the present age?

My tearful eyes have witnessed the Arab tradition of concubinage. 

Such degradation of women was never seen before.  

Here, night revelries are witnessed over living corpses.  

Bloody eagles pounce on flower-like faces.  

They dance in the palaces like intoxicated elephants.  

Someone will come to break the chains of slavery.  

Faces appeared dancing in the goblet of  king Jamsheed. 

These damsels are chained and humiliated in the bondage of slavery.  

They call them concubines in the fervor of lust.  

Has the conscience of humanity not awakened yet?  

How long will concubines endure this imprisonment?  

My voice of rebellion is merely a call for the end of this custom. 

I believe the night of oppression will pass.  

Concubines will be freed from the clutches of the kings.  

Jafri, even it is the darkest night, the dawn will come and the Sun of human dignity will rise.
