The government's measures for economic stability are yielding encouraging results, but the expected benefits have not yet reached the common man. According to economic experts, the promotion of small and medium-sized businesses is essential for this. For this purpose, the government has launched the Prime Minister's Youth Program, under which it has expanded low-cost businesses by providing loans to the youth and has also created employment opportunities there. Addressing a review meeting in this regard, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif directed that the loan amount under this program be increased from Rs 5 to Rs 1.5 million. He also directed to complete a detailed survey of the facilities provided to small and medium-sized businesses across the country soon.
In the meeting, the Statistics Department was informed about the indicators of SMEs in three major cities of the country and it was informed that a survey will be conducted in the next few months to plan for providing better facilities to SMEs across the country. The Prime Minister Talking to the delegation, he said that the development of the country's economy is linked to the development of the IT sector, which should be given increased attention. He also directed that the models of developed countries should be applied to bring the facilities provided to small and medium-sized businesses in line with international standards. In addition, a special package for businesswomen should be formulated and presented soon so that it can be implemented. The Prime Minister's instructions are very important in the context that the country is going through an important phase of economic recovery.
