Sabotage of the Kurram Peace Treaty| IA Hashmi

Numerous miscreants, saboteurs, anti-Pakistan elements, Khawarij or terrorists, whatever name you give them, are being killed by the country's security agencies in search operations every day. Despite this, the attackers are not letting any opportunity pass them by. Despite the peace agreement and the assurances of the peace committee, 40 to 50 armed men opened fire on a government negotiation team in Bagan area of Kurram district on Saturday.

Three policemen and two Frontier Corps personnel, including the Deputy Commissioner, were seriously injured in the attack. Of course, the attackers have access to the scene of the incident, but it is clear that all this is being done to incite sectarian riots. The government and security sources have made it clear that any future violent incidents will be prevented with full force and it is also very important that the residents of the area remain united. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has described the attack as a shameful attempt to sabotage the government's efforts to maintain law and order.

According to information received, 5 miscreants who attacked the Deputy Commissioner have been identified. Evidence has been found of the involvement of facilitators in the incident, against whom a case has been registered, arrest and legal action has been taken. In this regard, it has been decided to hold a security meeting under the chairmanship of the IG Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Undoubtedly, all these measures are important in their own right, but it should be kept in mind that the purpose for which the enemy forces carried out this attack, which is to re-create tension in the area and create a crisis in food and medicine, should not succeed in any case.
