A chilling new report by the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) has revealed that 2025 was the deadliest year for the press on record. According to the report, a staggering 129 journalists and media workers were killed globally last year—and Israel is responsible for two-thirds of those deaths.

Record Bloodshed: For the second consecutive year, journalist fatalities have reached an all-time high.

Targeted Attacks: Israel was responsible for 81% of the 47 cases classified as intentional "murder" or targeted killings of journalists.
