ISLAMABAD (Special Correspondent, Commerce Reporter, Special Correspondent) In the third Pakistan-China Joint Consultative Mechanism meeting on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), all political parties appeared on the same page and showed exemplary consensus. In the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Senate Chairman Yousuf Raza Gilani, Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Planning and Development Minister Ahsan Iqbal, Tehreek-e-Insaf Senator Syed Ali Zafar, Maulana Fazlur Rehman of JUI(F), Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui of MQM, Hina Rabbani Khar of People's Party, Manza Hassan of Stability Pakistan Party, National Senator John Muhammad, senior politician Afrasiab Khattak and other leaders of the party were present. Chinese Minister Liujian Chau said that internal stability is necessary for development, the security situation should be improved for investment, institutions and political parties should be unified. Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar said that CPEC is a new vision of cooperation between the two countries. Pakistan-China friendship will be strengthened from the second phase of the CPEC, Fazlur Rehman said that there is a national consensus in Pakistan on CPEC, Pakistan-China friendship is beyond our mutual differences, Senator Ali Zafar said that there is a need to speed up the projects. In his opening remarks, Deputy Prime Minister Senator Ishaq Dar said that CPEC had played an important role in the socio-economic development of Pakistan.
The agreements signed during 2018-2018 gave the
two countries an opportunity to upgrade their relations to bring about the
desired changes, the IDCPC invited 300 Pakistani parliamentarians to China over
three years, besides providing scholarships and professional training to

Following the progress of projects under the CPEC, Planning Minister Ahsan
Iqbal said that despite political differences, all political parties are in
agreement regarding China and CPEC and are committed to strengthening the
upgraded version. Ahsan Iqbal thanked China for adding new corridors in CPEC
which are linked to the 5Zs introduced by the present government. paid and
