Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif visited Quetta on Thursday to
deliberate on the recent incidents of terrorism in Balochistan from various
angles and formulate strategies to prevent future such situations and in relation
to the administrative affairs of the province. There he met Army Chief General
Syed Asim. Munir, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar,
Governor Balochistan Jafar Khan Mandukhel, Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti,
Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Corps Commander Balochistan Lt. Gen.
Rahat Naseem Ahmed attended the provincial apex committee meeting along with
senior federal and provincial officials. In the context of the mentioned
events, this is a platform where it is not enough to condemn terrorism and
bring the facilitators involved in them to justice, but there are other
aspects. Among the main factors behind the restlessness found in the province
is the factor of inattention to construction in Balochistan, the dream of which
we have been seeing for 77 years in the form of political slogans, but failed
to give it ground status.
The Prime Minister addressed the meeting. The participants
were apprised of the steps to be taken after the events of August 26 and
possible decisions in the coming days, the most important of which is to
formulate a policy regarding the deployment of bureaucracy in the province. The
Prime Minister said that unfortunately the officers were reluctant to come to
Balochistan. And they make excuses, there will be no compromise on the policy
we have made in this regard. According to the Prime Minister, half of the
officers of the 48th Common Training Program will be immediately posted in
Balochistan for one year, while the rest will be posted after 6 months. This
process will progress gradually. The additional privileges given to these
officers include giving air tickets along with their families, while extra
points will also be given during their employment. Obstacles will be removed.
He said that the blood of martyrs will not be allowed to go in vain, there is
no question of making concessions to terrorists and it is our duty to negotiate
with those who salute the Pakistani flag while taking action against those who
commit terrorism. It is indispensable for the development of the province.
He is also right to say that the enemy does not want the
development of Balochistan and is looking to sabotage the CPEC project. In
fact, the terrorists want to break the friendship between Pakistan and China.
The Prime Minister said that the incident that happened in the province on
August 26 is very heartbreaking, which has caused a wave of concern among the
people of Pakistan, but we make it clear that the forces of Pakistan are
fighting terrorism in Balochistan. In the light of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif's
address, it is a bitter reality that Balochistan has been suffering from
deprivation since the beginning despite having abundant natural resources. A
comprehensive plan for the development of this province with the largest area
There is a need for a ban. The second problem is the lack of democratic values.
For healthy democratic traditions, its roots must reach the people. The poverty
in Balochistan is so extreme that people are forced to travel hundreds of
kilometers to work. The Prime Minister's vision of grassroots management in the
province is exactly in line with the situation there. Despite the distance in
population, there are examples of best management issues in countries with
larger areas.
According to a recent survey, the rate of employment of Pakistanis has increased over the past year and is at a three-year high. In countries like Pakistan, such surveys are important to help shape the future in the form of representative views of segments of the population. More than 1,000 people from all over the country participated in the aforementioned survey of Apsus Pakistan. Conducting a survey to gauge the opinion of the majority on an issue in a country of 25 crores is a difficult task, but the information gained from it is certainly useful. Although the details of the professions, fields, and social background of the people included in the survey are not available from the newspaper report, it is encouraging that 58 percent of people denied that any of their acquaintances were unemployed, while last year this rate was 50 percent.
The rate of those talking about going to work decreased from
50% to 42%. According to the analysts, in the context of the large population
of the country, representative surveys of different classes, professions, and
income groups can be used to identify the areas and angles where attention
needs to be paid, thus making progress towards better results in several areas
easier. is The current situation of the country's economy requires that the
industries should be supported, agriculture should be developed on modern
lines, domestic and Small scale industries should be encouraged and
self-employment schemes implemented. Efforts are underway at the government
level in this regard, the results of which will be visible with the passage of
time.
Patients Will not be able to Perform Hajj?
The work of preparations for Hajj Policy 2025 is going on
rapidly, which is likely to be announced in the next month of September. In the
new policy, where the arrangements for redressing the complaints of Hajj
pilgrims and providing them with better facilities are being reviewed, people
suffering from complex diseases will not be able to leave for Hajj. The Saudi
government has banned sick people from performing Hajj. On behalf of the Saudi
Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, the Ministry of Religious Affairs has received a
health advisory regarding Hajj 2025, according to which only healthy and
energetic pilgrims will be allowed to travel for Hajj due to the severity of
the weather. Patients with kidney, heart, lung, liver and cancer complications,
dementia and infectious diseases, whooping cough, tuberculosis, children under
twelve years of age and pregnant women will not be allowed to perform Hajj.
According to the spokesman of the Ministry of Religious
Affairs, it will be necessary for Hajj pilgrims to get meningitis, corona,
seasonal influenza, and polio vaccines. Provision of facilities during Hajj
rituals, changes in the policy related to private and public Hajj scheme
quotas, long and short term. The issues of Hajj scheme have also been taken
into consideration in the new policy. The Saudi government is being requested
to include Lahore Airport in the Road to Makkah project. Immigration arrangements
will be made in Pakistan at Karachi and Islamabad Airports. The real problem
for Hajj pilgrims in Haram Sharif is the necessary facilities. Experiences in
this regard in the past have not been very pleasant. The government should take
special care of their accommodation, food, medical treatment, transport and
guidance for visiting various holy places.
